I was at bradbury lines in the jlrra from 1958 until 1959 whence we moved to Gamecock barracks , Bramcote nr. Nuneaton. I mustered from there in 1960 to serve in BAOR in Dortmund until 1965. I was finally demobbed in 1966. Bombardier Derek Downey

I arrived Bradbury Lines in 1969 collected my kit including my numbered bricks and stayed there for 7 happy years

No it's definitely pronounced Heh-ruh-fuhd now, or you just drop the first H if you're a local. I think some of the older generation pronounce it Herry-fuhd but no one else does anymore.
